Trifon Andreev is an independent type designer, Cyrillic consultant and researcher, currently based in Berlin and Düsseldorf, Germany. In addition to his retail catalogue, he crafts custom typefaces for brands, institutions and cultural spaces. His expertise has resulted in numerous collaborations with renowned type designers and prestigious type foundries. Throughout his type practice he questions the ongoing Cyrillic conventions and points out the rationality behind the so-called humanistic Cyrillic letterfroms as an evolutionary step for the historical development of the script.
