About Fabric Grotesk
Fabric Grotesk is our take on the Neo-Grotesk tradition that defined much of mid-century modern design. Inspired by the visual clarity of the Swiss and International Graphic Style, and by masters such as Armin Hofmann and Josef Müller-Brockmann, we set out to create one of the most versatile and broadly usable typefaces in the Fontfabric library.
Its refined shapes, clean horizontal and vertical terminals, and carefully balanced curves give Fabric Grotesk a timeless, confident feel. Under the hood, it is just as practical as it is polished, with Extended Latin and Cyrillic support, Bulgarian Cyrillic forms, rich alternates, and a display-oriented stylistic set for moments when the design needs a sharper, more contemporary edge.
Why Choose Fabric Grotesk?
Fabric Grotesk is a Neo-Grotesk Sans Serif typeface designed for a wide range of visual communication needs, from brand systems and editorial layouts to websites, interfaces, campaigns, and packaging. Its uniform construction, crisp rhythm, angular display alternatives, and strong legibility across small and large sizes make it an excellent choice for creatives who want to make a lasting impression with their work.
Whether you're building a modern identity, designing a magazine spread, shaping a clean website, or creating a flexible design system, Fabric Grotesk gives you clarity, consistency, and range. It feels neutral when needed, but never bland. It can stay quietly functional in body copy and step forward with more character in headlines thanks to its alternate display details.
With 18 static styles and 1 variable font, plus advanced OpenType features and multilingual support, Fabric Grotesk is built for serious design work across print and screen. It is the kind of workhorse that helps you move fast, stay consistent, and keep the typography looking sharp from first draft to final output.
