Auge (German for “eye”) began in 2017 as a graduation project by Nikolay Petroussenko. It was later developed and released by Fontfabric under the direction of Plamen Motev and Viktoria Usmanova. Drawing inspiration from insect anatomy, Auge captures the beauty of the micro-world with sharp details, high contrast, and expressive wedge serifs. The result is a serif type family that fuses scientific precision with poetic design, offering a unique voice for contemporary typography.
